The best study techniques for taking notes

We could define study techniques as those strategies or tools that facilitate the study process, in the different phases that make up the learning process. These study techniques are applicable regardless of the level of studies (ESO, baccalaureate, university, or an opposition).

You may be wondering if really applying any of these study techniques will improve your performance. The answer is a resounding yes. Now, don't expect magic or miracles. These types of tools will make your study easier, but they will not do the work for you.

Time is the maximum treasured factor someone can ever waste, therefore, it's important that point be used successfully in terms of the success of the education of newbies is important and sticking to a study timetable is as important as developing one. Time control isn't always something that we have been taught or born with, it's something that we've found out to grasp through the responsibilities that we've got specifically with our faculty paintings as a manner of growing and preparing technique in your research and obtaining powerful results. So a student must use the days between dates calculator to plan his weekends.

On the other hand, there is a multitude of study techniques that approach the study from different perspectives. Not all study techniques are the same, and not all will be equally useful to everyone. How will you know which study techniques will work best for you? Putting them into practice. It is the only way to see if a study technique works for you or not. What works for you may not work for another student.

Would you like to know some of the best study techniques that you can use when studying? Then keep reading.

In many cases, the first contact with the subject that you will have to study consists of taking notes in class, so this is a critical stage. If you take good notes, your study process will start in the best possible way.

Imagine two very different situations:

  • Assumption number one: the class is over and your notebook is full of keywords, relevant annotations, and rankings. Days go by and when it's time to review you can remember practically all the content that was given in class that day.
  • Assumption number two: class ends and your notebook is an accumulation of disjointed words and phrases, full of unfinished concepts, all written in the same size and color. When it is time to start studying, you take your notes and panic when you realize that you were not able to get anything clear from that class.

In your case, what happens when class ends? The second case is more common than you might imagine. And yet we know that having good notes can be the fine line that separates a failure from an approved scratch-off or from getting a grade. So why don't we try to take some better notes in class?

Believe it or not, taking notes well is almost an art. It is true that some students seem to have an innate ability for it and take notes envied by the rest of the class, but they are rare. The normal thing is that taking good notes is one of the first handicaps that every student must face in order to achieve a good result.

Is it normal that you find it difficult to differentiate the relevant information from the non-relevant information? Absolutely yes. What's more, most students find it difficult at first. Will this always be like this? Absolutely. The good thing about this is that, as with almost everything, taking good notes in class is a matter of two things: technique and perseverance.

Take notes using the Cornell method

One of the most effective techniques for taking good notes is the Cornell method. What distinguishes this method from many other note-taking techniques is that it is specifically designed for taking really effective notes during class.

As soon as you put it into practice, you realize that it meets two basic parameters that make it highly effective:

  • First of all, in order to put the Cornell method into practice, you must be active listening during class. This method is going to require 100% of your attention.
  • Second, while you are taking notes, you must classify this information in the different sections into which the paper is divided, depending on the nature of this information.

Without a doubt, with the Cornell method, you will take better notes in class, clearer and more organized, which will allow you to review the most relevant information in class at a glance. These evenings will make your study much easier
