What is the difference between Sleep disorders and Depression?

We can observe very easily that people who experience depression also suffer from insomnia. If you are suffering from depression, there is definitely trouble in going to sleep or staying asleep for a longer period of time. There exists a very strong connection between insomnia and depression. We call the patients as insomniac those who are suffering from sleep disorders, whereas depression is a form of anxiety.
Insomnia is one of the most common disorders in the UK and USA that affects more than fifty percent of the population in the USA. Moreover, you are said to be suffering from clinical depression if you are unable to sleep for a longer period of hours (Insomnia), or either you sleep too much (over-sleeping). It is correct to say that lack of sleep makes depression worse.
