In the following article, we will talk about how Feinguss casting in India is done and the benefits that the process provides.
What is Feinguss casting in India?
Features of Feinguss casting in India
- The final products are highly accurate and precise, which makes them almost 99% closer to the original design.
- Less financial investment is required for carrying out the investment casting.
- Any kind of metal can be used to prepare the products as per the business requirements in Feinguss casting in India.
Advantages of Feinguss casting in India
- Several complex and intricately detailed products can be easily designed with the help of the Feinguss casting in India.
- The process allows manufacturing of the products which are made from raw materials that can’t be processed in normal machinery or by other casting methods.
- One of the major advantages of the Feinguss casting in India process is that it is used in several industries, starting from hardware to aerospace.
- Through the investment process, the products generated have smooth surfaces. This reduces the need to machine the surface for making it smoother and plain.
- With this process, the prototypes can be produced in bulk and at a much faster rate, almost 75% than other casting processes.
- In the Feinguss casting in India, the tools don’t cost too much and hence, the overall manufacturing process can be reduced by a great amount.
How is the Feinguss casting in India carried out?
- First of all, a wax pattern is prepared using the metal injection die method. The internal structure of the die is similar to the main product design structure.
- Once the wax hardens, several wax patterns are mounted on a vertical rod on either side. It creates a tree-like shape which is termed as the gate and runner metal delivery system in the Feinguss casting in India.
- As the tree design is completed, it is coated with a ceramic slurry and then covered with sand stucco. Once the first coat dries up, repeated coats are applied to increase the mold thickness and make it tolerant enough to withstand the metal’s heat.
- The wax is molten and is then removed from inside the ceramic slurry mold.
- After the wax is removed, the molten liquid is poured down into the mold till the brim and is allowed to cool down. Usually, alloy liquid is used to make the final product.
- As the alloy hardens, the mold is broken by knocking it off using a small hammer.
- Since multiple patterns are formed in the tree, the casted products are separated from the tree.
