Television and TV - an addictive box?

Nowadays, there is at least one television set in every home, indeed - one very rarely. Most often there are more than two. After all, one is needed in the living room, one in the kitchen and sometimes it's good to watch something in the bedroom too.

Is it good? Does this audiovisual equipment do us any good? No. Definitely not. As we know, everything is good, but you have to know the limits. They will be respected when the television, or televisions, are indeed in our house or flat, but are not switched on for fifteen hours a day. You do not have to go far to find a family where the television is switched on as soon as they get home from work and switched off before they go to bed. Some even fall asleep in front of the TV because it helps them to relax. One comes in from work, turns on the TV, eats dinner in front of it and even takes little naps.

Television is an asset. But only if you use it wisely. After all, it is from television that one can learn a lot of news from the world. It is on television that you can find educational programmes for children or retransmissions of important cultural events. Watching a match in front of the TV is also healthy. Everything separately is healthy. The problem begins when all these points are combined into one, which results in not switching off this equipment.

Particular attention should be paid to young children who are turned on to the Disney channel so that "there will be peace". Such a child, instead of playing with peers or instead of extending family ties, grows into an antisocial being for whom contact with people is not necessary. A five-year-old child should not watch television for a long time. An hour or two a day might be optimal.

Television is also great for any interesting nature, environmental or animal programmes. It is through such programmes that you can broaden your knowledge and later shine among your friends. This is also very interesting.

Remember, television is good and useful, but it is very easy to become addicted to it. Watch out for that, because nothing good will come of it.
