Visit Sechelt Inlet and try their various water activities

From canoeing to paddle boarding, there is no end to the water activities that your kids will surely enjoy doing. You can even explore the forest that lines the oceans. Your kids will probably like it when they realize that many of the trees in the area are more than a thousand years old. You can rent a kayak or a canoe in one of the establishments in the area. Check out the Powell River Historic Townsite

Don’t leave the Sunshine Coast without checking out this historic town site. It was designated as a National Historic District back in 1995. There is an old movie theater that is still functioning until this day. If you have time, you can catch a movie here just to get a feel of what it is like to watch movies in an old theater.

The kids will also like seeing the ships from WWI and WWII left in the area. Take a walk around the ship and see what it has in store for you.

Go on an Aboriginal Cultural Tour

Mix learning and having fun. Take an Aboriginal Cultural Tour where the guides will tell you more about the First Nations tribes. Learn more about how they lived and what they did. Kids will have a change of perspective.

Go fishing or swimming at the Inland Lake Provincial Park

There are also camping grounds in the area. You can stay for a day, enjoying the beautiful view of the lake. Take a tour around the area through the walking decks.
