6 Healthy Food Hacks In 2022

Eating healthy should be everyone's priority, especially as we prepare to launch into 2022. What is so special about 2022? Well, the world went through a pandemic from 2020 into 2021, and while we are all still recovering from its multi-faceted impact, we must keep our immune systems strong.

The idea of eating healthy foods and being intentional with clean eating is not a new one, but so many people struggle with it. The struggle may be partly because some people don't know how to be creative with their foods, such that from breakfast to lunch and dinner, they are eating the right stuff.

So this explains why we have food hacks! Food hacks are various techniques one can use to prepare meals. Such practices are usually faster and more efficient than the traditional ways of preparing meals. Now with healthy food hacks, we are referring to varying methods of making healthy foods such that it is easier for anyone to take the healthy food journey seriously.

This article highlights the top six healthy food hacks that will help you make more informed decisions in 2022. Imagine starting the year with a commitment to healthy living and having the right hacks to begin the right way. Okay, so are you ready to go? Let us start with the first hack.

Consider CBD Edibles

For people that want to take CBD on the go, CBD edible is a terrific choice. It allows you to enjoy the health benefits of CBD even while on the go.

Besides CBD edibles, vaping is another way one can get CBD into the body system. The health industry is currently raving on the series of positive health effects of vaping. Interestingly, one can apply CBD to buy delta 8 cigarettes

Freeze your fruits and kale for easy smoothies

How about a glass of thick and delicious smoothies for breakfast with all the yummy and nutrient-packed fruits. But some people can't get the best out of their fruits and kale because they go wrong in the fridge.

In 2022, take your pre-smoothie preparation (do this a day before the morning) seriously by packing the quantities you need per cup and freezing the fruits and kale in freezer bags. The following day, wake up and blend one pack with some almond milk and a scoop of protein powder, absolutely delicious!

Bake with Oat flour

You can bake many things and munch on them for breakfast or lunch, but what kind of flour do you use? If you have been using regular flour, ditch it as 2021 comes to an end. Replace the regular flour with oat flour, full of nutrients such as fiber and gluten-free.

Just blend some rolled-cut oats and use the quantity you need based on the kind of meal you are making. Oat flour is highly versatile that you can experiment with it with other different healthy recipes.

Make your granolas

Granolas are the best! You cannot stop munching on it as a snack, adding it to a parfait, placing it on healthy banana bread, or having it for breakfast. I know it's easy to go to a store and buy a pack of granola, but you need to start making your granola.

Store-bought granolas are expensive and loaded with so much sugar, which makes most of them unhealthy. You can save money and have a healthier choice in 2022 by making your granola.

Bake your fries

Potatoes are some of the world's best appetite suppressants; they are filled with nutrients and are so delicious. However, you may have been eating unhealthy potatoes if they drip in so much oil, and then you end up consuming such an increased amount of saturated fat, which is not suitable for your body.

But this doesn't mean you cannot enjoy your fries; you have to do it healthily by baking them! Cut up your fries, add a bit of salt, oil, and pepper, and then roast them in the oven. You will end up with yummy fries that are free from excess fat and way fewer calories.

Sauté your spinach

Spinach has loads of nutrients, but these nutrients are sensitive to heat. You can end up with unhealthy spinach, which has no nutritional value if you boil it. Boiling is too harsh for spinach, and the best hack is to sauté the spinach and enjoy it in its warm state.

Sautéed spinach is a vegetable that still has its nutrients, looks fresh and evergreen. Interestingly, you can have sautéed spinach as a side dish with a variety of meals. All that yummy, green goodness will add a lot of nutritional value to your diet.

Bottom Line

Of course, there are many more healthy food hacks, but you need to start with the easiest as we prepare to get into 2022. These six healthy food hacks cut across breakfast, snacks, lunch, and dinner so you can get started right away. Your body needs beneficial nutrients to function at peak levels, and such nutrients come from healthy foods. The healthier your diet, the higher your chances of boosting your immune system.

One last tip: remember to be intentional with using these hacks and picking out your choice of meals.
