In a new development, the Supreme Court might set up a technical committee to look into the allegations of snooping on activists, journalists etc. through the use of Pegasus software.
On Thursday, CJI Ramana stated that the Court will pass its order next week. The CJI told this orally to Senior Counsel Chander Uday Singh who is the appearing counsel in one of the Pegasus petitions
According to the CJI, the Bench wanted to pass the order this week but due to some personal difficulties faced by members of the technical committee, the order was deferred. He further said that members of the technical committee will be finalised soon and the court will pass its order next week.
The Supreme Court has adjourned till Monday the hearing on nine petitions associated with the Pegasus Spyware Case .
The lawman said that a replica of the complaint was still being read and only after reading the copy would we be ready to present our argument.
