How does the human brain work?

Human Brain is composed of approximately a 100million nerve cells. Nerve cells or neurons are the basic structural and functional unit of the Brain. The size of human Brain is about 1500gram.

Brain is enclosed in the hard skull. The outer part of Brain is covered by three protective layers dura matter, Archinoid matter, and pia mater collectively called meninges. The function of these layers is to protect the Brain from injury and trauma.
