Mobile vs. Traditional – Which is better for Corporate Training?

Corporate training is essential and happens every day, in every organization. However, there is a constant debate about training methods being used and which is better. The corporate world is a fast-paced one. Work projects come up constantly and everything needs to go smoothly so that there’s no waste of time or loss of revenue. But before beginning any project or work, the organization’s management needs to ensure that their employees know what is to be done and what is expected of them. That’s where there is a real need for proper training. This brings us to the next question. Between Mobile Learning or Traditional Learning, which method would be better for corporate training? Before we answer that, let’s first find out what each one means.

What is Mobile Learning?

Mobile learning is an innovative approach where one learns by using mobile devices like laptops, tablets, and smartphones. It has emerged as a major paradigm shift in training because it takes advantage of the ubiquity of mobile devices and the fast-paced, on-demand nature of technology.

All that’s need is a mobile device and a corporate training app or LMS, making training content easily accessible, any time and anywhere.

What is Traditional Learning?

Traditional Learning utilizes a classroom setting for training sessions. Organizations used this method to deploy their corporate training sessions until a few years ago. In this method, a trainer comes up with the training content and takes the employees through it, in person or through a video session. Depending on the amount of training these sessions happen at a fixed time, for an hour or more, and over a number of days.
