Chandrashila is a trekking trail in Uttarakhand, India. It's the most popular trekking trail for tourists to do in Uttarakhand. The route begins from Chopta and ends at Sari, Uttarakhand.

Chopta- Chandrashila trek is a picturesque hamlet which is still unexplored by travelers, and is also famous as "Mini Switzerland of Uttarakhand". Chandrashila Peak is a place of interest situated in the Garhwal region of Uttarakhand. The word "chandra" means moon while "shila" means rock or stone. The destination derives its name from the fact that it resembles the waxing crescent moon when seen from nearby Tungnath.

This is a very famous pilgrimage site, located in Uttarakhand. Every year, thousands of devotees visit this place to take a holy dip in the holy water tanks here.

Chandrashila is a mountain peak in the Gangotri Group of peaks in the Himalayas. It lies on the south side of the Rudugaira Glacier. It is located at a height of about 3,690 metres above sea level. This peak provides views of the Himalayas, including Nandadevi, Trisul, Kedar Peak, Bandarpunch and Chaukham.

Chandrashila offers a bird's eye view of these peaks. The trekking route to the peak passes through alpine meadows, oak forests and mountain streams. The best time to visit this trek is from mid-September to mid-November.
