The Ultimate List of Data Entry Tools for Automating Data Entry Tasks in 2021

Why spend hours entering the same data into various tables or spreadsheets when you can use data entry tools to automate this process? Our list of top data entry tools can help you get your data entry tasks done faster and more accurately, freeing up your time to work on other projects! In this article, we provide an overview of how these tools work, what each tool does best, and our recommendations for the best data entry software based on your industry needs. Let’s get  Started!

 nTask

Companies who rely on a lot of manual data entry, e.g., manually updating a database to keep it up-to-date with current information, will appreciate nTask. This web-based software allows users to upload their Excel or CSV files and process them into an online database that can be accessed from anywhere at any time by multiple people.

It's primarily used by businesses to take large amounts of data from Excel and make it searchable and easily accessible from multiple devices, all while improving productivity. Data stored in nTask can be shared with other tools within minutes using FTP or file share or exported back into your existing application systems such as Workday, Salesforce, and SAP just to name a few.

Zoho Forms

Zoho is one of our favorite data entry tools, because it offers so much functionality. It allows you to create survey-based forms, manage submissions and even validate responses without having to do any coding. And if you have a dedicated team who will be collecting data on a regular basis, you can easily schedule tasks through Zoho’s calendar tool.

If you want to try out Zoho first, their freemium option provides many features at no cost (including unlimited surveys), though some advanced features like batch processing are reserved for paying customers. There’s also an integration available with Google Sheets that makes collecting information into Google Docs easy. It's a great way to get started and we highly recommend checking it out.

Foxtrot RPA

The field is changing quickly, but Foxtrot RPA still remains one of my favorite solutions. It's an easy-to-use platform that scales well to larger teams and doesn't have a steep learning curve. Foxtrot features a drag-and-drop interface, so if you know how to use Microsoft Office, you'll be able to figure out how to use Foxtrot.

The best part is that you can run your processes without being connected to Internet Explorer—this is huge because many software vendors are just now beginning to allow offline mode. If I could suggest one thing, though, it would be that Foxtrot comes up with a better name.

ProntoForms

After being on ProntoForms’ beta list for a while, I started using it full-time about two years ago. It has replaced all of my paper forms and I wouldn’t want to do data entry any other way. Their templates are clean and easy to use, they have dozens of templates available, and they are constantly adding new templates.

It also integrates with almost every other SaaS app that I use, which is very handy when you are trying to send information into multiple applications at once. They have a pretty reasonable flat-rate pricing plan too! From what I can tell, they are growing quickly because more companies are starting to catch on to how awesome their product is.

Tabidoo

Get more out of your data entry tasks by automating them with Tabidoo. A cloud-based software platform, Tabidoo connects with your current systems to transform existing employee data entry processes into automated ones.

This means not only is it more efficient than manual tasking but also that it can be achieved at a fraction of what you’d spend on outsourcing. What’s more, businesses using Tabidoo have reported productivity gains anywhere from 40% to 90%, meaning that they can generate better outcomes while spending less time and money on their data entry tasks!

Entrypoint i4

If your company has used or is currently using Microsoft Office as a means to perform data entry, then you’re probably familiar with how much time it takes to manually re-enter data from one spreadsheet into another.

What you might not know is that if you use Entrypoint i4, those multiple documents could be merged into one singular document. The technology at play here is pretty simple: It allows a user to merge Microsoft Excel and .csv files together with an Excel dashboard template.

Doing so enables users to import their different spreadsheets within a single dashboard. Once each document has been imported, every record will be visible and available for use by all users who have access to that particular file.

Typeform

The data-entry tool du jour is Typeform, which offers a sleek and intuitive interface, as well as a wide range of useful features such as visual surveys and A/B testing. And since it's available both online and as a mobile app, you can use it to create forms on your desktop or right from your smartphone. It's easy to set up and manage Typeforms, and it integrates easily with other web apps like Slack and Google Sheets. Typeform is free for individuals but does charge professional plans starting at $24 per month for small teams.

Conclusion

Although there are several data entry tools on the market, not all of them offer a comprehensive system that can be used to automate data entry tasks. In order to take full advantage of any data entry software, it is important to know what kind of software you will need and how to use it correctly.

Many experts have predicted an increase in demand for these tools by 2021, so now is a good time to take a look at some leading products on the market. If you’re struggling with a project or simply want a new way to manage your workflow, consider using one or more data entry applications.

Make sure you understand exactly what type of help you need before deciding which solution works best for your needs. You can also take help from data entry service providers that can automate your data entry services.
