Neoprene O-Rings

Buna O-Rings

An O-ring is a solid-rubber seal shaped like a doughnut or torus. When compressed between mating surfaces, O-ring blocks the passage of liquids or gases. O-rings are available in a wide range of standard and custom sizes that are suitable for nearly all sealing applications.

We, at AS&P focus on long-term relationships based on trust, honesty, and communication. Whether you need specialized custom O-Ring seals or off-the-shelf standard O-Ring seals, we have them all at great prices.

Buna O-Rings Description

Buna O-Rings also referred to as NBR O-Rings and Nitrile O-Rings are the most widely used O-Ring materials in the world because of its low cost & good mechanical performance along with excellent resistance to water, most basic oils, lubricants, and some fuels. Its versatility makes it an ideal material for O-Rings, seals, gaskets, and custom molded components for all industries and applications. Buna O-Rings are not recommended for exposure to sunlight, UV light, ozone and general outdoor weathering or harsh chemicals, acids, ketones, and many others.

Nitrile is unique among synthetic rubbers in that it is generally resistant to chemicals such as oil and fuel, among other substances such as mineral and vegetable oils, diluted acids, and alkaline substances. Buna-Nitrile is less likely to cause allergic reactions than latex or natural rubber materials, making it popular for medical and dental applications. Nitrile also exhibits greater strength and puncture resistance than latex and natural rubber.
