Different types of effects produced by fireworks

Fireworks are a type of low explosive pyrotechnic device which are used foe aesthetic and entertainment purpose. Fireworks is used to display their effects as produced by the firework devices. These are available in many forms to produce the four main primary effects- noise, light, smoke, confetti. Nowadays, couple use fireworks display on their wedding day to make it more memorable. Indoor fireworks for wedding reception are also a good idea. Fireworks are designed in a way that it can produce flames of different colours. These are common throughout the world and has become a part of cultural and religious functions.

The most common type of firework technique is to use a paper or pasteboard tube which is filled with combustible material, usually pyrotechnic stars. Many of them are created in such a way that when they are busted, it produces sparkling colours and shapes. Fireworks was first invented in China and it is the most important part of their cultural events.

Types of effects of fireworks

·        Cakes- a cake is a bunch of individual pipes linked by fuse which is fired to give a series of aerial effects. The diameter of a tube varies from ¼-4 inches. A cake has the capacity to produce more than 1000shots. The variety of effects produced by them often defy the descriptive titles and are given names such as “Bermuda triangle”, “poisonous spider” etc. they are also types which consists of few shells of diameter 2.5-4 inches are fused together in single-shot tubes.

·        Crossette- this is a shell which contain several large stars that travel a few distance before breaking apart into smaller fragments to produce a crisscrossing grid-like effect. In general, a crossette star should split into 4 pieces which should fly off symmetrically to produce a cross. Earlier, it was limited only to golden or silver effects, but now it is available in different colour options such as red, green, white etc.

·        Chrysanthemum- it is a spherical break of coloured stars like a peony, but it produces a visible trail of sparks.

·        Dahlia- this is same as the peony shell consisting of fewer and larger stars. These stars travela distance which is longer than the usual distance from the shell before burning out. Some of them come in a cylindrical shape rather than spherical shape.

·        Diadem- it is a type of peony, which consists of a cluster of non-moving stars in the centre producing a contrasting colour or effect.

·        Fish- they propel themselves in such a way that this looks like a fish swimming away from a spot.

·        Horsetail- these features long-burning tailed stars which travel a short distance before falling to the ground. These are also known as the waterfall shell.

·        Kamuro- this produces a shiny effect in the sky. Kamuro means “boy’s haircut” in Japanese. It looks like a burst of glittering silver or gold stars which produce a heavy glitter trail.
