BTech in civil engineering is a four-year undergraduate program that imparts knowledge and training about construction maintenance, management, structural designs, and related topics. BTech has always been a field where a mass of students enrol after they complete their school but civil engineering is a branch that has always been in the limelight.

Once you clear the exam and the rank list is out, online counselling sessions are held and seats are allotted. 

Career opportunities after B Tech Civil Engineering 

Construction and development projects can never get over especially in a developing country like India and therefore civil engineers are never out of job. After you graduate with your BTech degree you will have a lot of scope in the government, private as well as public sectors. Government departments like public health, irrigation or public works offer jobs for civil engineering graduates. Apart from this many construction consultancies, consultancy firms, housing societies, etc seek civil engineers. 

The job roles that students are offered after they graduate from their B Tech Civil Engineering degree are structure analysts, structure designers, CAD designers, construction engineers, civil engineers, infrastructural consultants and construction managers. The average salary package of a civil engineer stays between 4 lakhs and 20 lakhs but there are many factors that decide the pay. The best salaries are offered to the graduates from IITs and other top colleges, whereas some companies consider experience as a big factor when giving jobs.
