Different Platforms to Organize Virtual Theatre Events

People love or hate office parties. Almost everyone hates virtual office parties. As we begin the second pandemic holiday season, both kinds of events - meant to commemorate employees and humanise bosses - have arrived. But they are changed from what you remember.

Virtual parties are still going strong this year, though employers have hopefully learnt from last year's mistakes about what employees will have to put up with. And after a pause last year, in-person parties are starting to make a comeback as immunisation rates and appetite for socialisation increase, though these events are also more restrained. We are also witnessing a rise in a third category: no party at all. Some companies opt for extra freebies, money, or time off instead of lukewarm catering, bad DJs, and awkward interactions with your coworkers.

As a result, corporates are now opting for Virtual Theater events for team building or corporate events through murder mystery nights. You can access virtual theatre events through various platforms, and this blog will be discussed which platform is best for virtual theatre events.

Which Platform to Choose To Organise a Virtual Theatre Event?

When choosing a platform, there are some features that you need to take into account, like video quality, time limit, people limit, custom backdrops, and more. Here is a list of the most accepted platforms for virtual gatherings.

Zoom

Zoom is the go-to app for any virtual gathering, especially during a pandemic. Originally, Zoom was a space to host virtual meetings, but the app now has several features. This platform makes it easy to talk to several people simultaneously. It has some fantastic features like adding custom backdrops that you can use for your Zoom theater party theme. Zoom's free suite-only allows 100 participants for a maximum of 40 minutes. You have to consider the premium version if you need more time.

Skype

Skype is a platform that can be handled on numerous devices, from phones to Xboxes. The limit is 50 people in a single video chat. Skype's free system can bug out and go offline, but it's one of the easiest ways to host a video conference because you don't need to install the software to join or host virtual events. Skype isn't the obvious choice, but it can get the job done.

Messenger Rooms

Messenger Rooms is a medium for virtual hangouts that brings together up to 50 people and allows your friends to join the event whenever they want. This is not ideal if you have a specific guest list. However, once all of your guests have entered the video conference, you can make the event private. Unlike Zoom, Messenger Rooms does not impose a time limit on meetings making it an ideal choice for Murder mystery theater platform.

Google Meet

During the COVID-19 pandemic, Google Meet (formerly known as Google Hangouts) took matters into its own hands and now allows you to organise virtual parties of 250 guests instead of 25. This app will enable you to share photos, videos, emojis and animated GIFs. One can even use it to play Jackbox games. Google Meet is one of the Top-rated virtual theater platforms.
