SPICULES - WHAT ARE THEY?
Spicules are needle-like structures that can be composed of a variety of materials. In Korean skincare, it's usually hyaluronic spears or sponge endoskeletons as a hyperpigmentation treatment.
Capsules contain an excipient to help deliver the active ingredients. It's a two-part system: capsules are basically the delivery system for whatever active ingredient your specialist is using.
HOW IS THE TREATMENT DONE?
For this hyperpigmentation treatment, a thorough double cleanse precedes the treatment. Spicules are applied to the skin and massaged in. No steam or extractions are used.
After the massage, the mask will remain on the skin for an additional 5 minutes. It will then be rehydrated with a soothing serum and removed with a cool towel after it has fully dried. Dermacoolers will be used to apply soothing gel to the skin, and the hyperpigmentation treatment will conclude with SPF.
EXPECTATIONS
It is important to stay out of the sun a week before getting this hyperpigmentation treatment, and keep the skin hydrated. It is okay if you would like to take an IB propen beforehand!
The skin will be tender and irritated when you leave. This sensation should subside within a few hours.
When you touch the skin for the first 24 - 48 hours, you will feel the spicules. This is a normal reaction and an important part of the hyperpigmentation treatment.
Peeling generally starts on days 3-4.
AFTERCARE
For the best results, make sure you follow all post care instructions for the hyperpigmentation treatment!
● Do not expose yourself to the sun

● Hydrate your skin
● Avoid activities that heat the skin (heavy workouts, saunas, etc.)
● Flaking skin should not be picked or peeled
