AWS could also be used to create your own "AWS" enterprise where you can break off pieces of your business and compartmentalize resources and costs that way. Some features offered by AWS are:

* Virtual Private Clouds (VPCs)

* Security Groups and Network  ACL’s

* AWS Cloud Trail

* Data Encryption


How to Get Started with AWS?


To get started with Amazon Web Services, you'll want to sign up for their free tier account. You can do so by heading to the AWS Free Usage Tier page. From there, you'll need to create an individual user profile. You'll do this by clicking "People I may know", filling in your email address. After authenticating with your email address, AWS will send you a temporary password and also give you organizational permissions for this account that allow access to EC2 instances, S3 buckets, and more.
