Keeping Communities Safe Through Guns and Weapons Buyback Events

There is a push to get guns off the streets in order to make communities safer. There are some interesting guns buyback programs and events that are driving that push.

Gun Buybacks

The gun buyback events are conducted to give people a chance to turn in Unwanted Weapons. So, individuals in turn receive $50 gift card or any other amount specific to the type of weapon surrendered. For instance, in exchange for turning in a firearm, citizens had received Visa gift cards like $25 for a single/double shot derringer type weapon. $50 for a rifle/shotgun. $100 for a handgun.Or $200 for an assault weapon.

There is a bare minimum requirement. The only requirement is for the gun owner to ensure the unwanted firearms are unloaded and stored in a plastic bag inside a car. Allowing a deputy or an officer to safely remove it.

After Turn Over

Once the firearms such as Drone Weapons are turned over, the guns go to the state. A check is run on the gun/weapon to ensure it wasn’t involved in a crime. Later the weapon is destroyed.

The Nutshell

To participate in the guns, buyback events no identification is required. When anyone surrenders his/her weapon no questions are asked.
