Job Description
We are looking for 3-10 years experienced engineers with an emphasis on Wells Engineering and Data Management to provide wells engineering support across ExxonMobil’s global portfolio.
Job Role Responsibilities
- Provide engineering support in drilling, completions, well performance area to ExxonMobil wells teams based on data modeling and analysis.
- Monitor drilling / production data and provide insights and recommendations based on analysis
- Use data visualization tool, statistical analysis subject specific models to solve engineering and commercial problems
- Contribute to various stages of analytics, model deployment and model maintenance
- Data extraction/transformation, data quality control and data connection with various historian
- Provide well surveillance to establish trends, recognize deviations, and identify data quality issues
- Collaborate with engineers and operations personnel on global asset teams
- Create tutorials, SOP documentation, training material and case studies pertaining to data modeling and analysis
Job Requirements
- Bachelor or Master degree from a recognized university in petroleum, mechanical, chemical, civil, or electrical engineering with minimum GPA 7.5 and above
- 3-10 years of work experience in the Data analytics and visualization, upstream oil and gas production industry experience preferred.
- Strong analytical skills to evaluate critical design & operating parameters through data and trend analysis
- Experience in data extractions from different kind of database like common O&G database, SQL server, oracle server etc.
- Good knowledge of SQL and Python programming
- Experience in wells design, well performance monitoring, troubleshooting, or optimization of well performance and well management preferred.
- Experience in programming languages such as Java will be an advantage
- Experience working in Tableau or Power BI or Spotfire is preferred
- Experience with engineering applications such as WellCat, WellView, CARTE will be an advantage
- Good communication skill and experience of working in a collaborative environment
- Flexibility to work in shift.
