Many people add flavored saffron and cardamom too, whereas it is also made during the festivities of Raksha Bandhan, Gudi Padwa, Diwali and Bhai Dooj in India. Known as a milk dessert primarily, it is popularly consumed in Gujarat, Maharashtra and Karnataka.

 

●      Aamras: Aamras is one of the most popular known mango pulp which is eaten as a dessert in various regions of India. Juicy mangoes are either diced or sliced with cream, sugar and a fragrant mixture, where the fine pure cream is then added to fine jaggery mix. At times, people also add dry ginger, saffron and cardamom to it where minimum alteration and creation of numerous varieties is also found.
