With the aim of taking on the luxury giants in the automotive industry, Genesis has made a name for itself over the past few years. The new 2022 Genesis G70 returns this year with a makeover to ensure it looks the part when going up against rivals like the Mercedes-Benz C-Class and BMW 3 Series. Though the G70 shares many underpinnings with the Kia Stinger, including a turbocharged V6 which develops a little less here at a peak of 365 horsepower, Genesis has taken the platform down a much more premium route and amped up its cornering prowess on the sport-driven models. Luxury and style are the name of the game here, and while Genesis does demand a premium price for its product, it is still more affordable in comparison to its European competitors, while taking a big leap in styling. 2022 Genesis G70 Changes: What’s the difference vs 2021 G70?
For the new model year, Genesis has redesigned the exterior with a Crest grille and split quad LED headlights. The taillights are also split into four bars. One of the most exciting upgrades is the larger 10.25-inch infotainment display, but the six-speed manual transmission is no longer offered. Other new standard features include heated front seats, a rear-seat reminder, navigation, and vehicle exit warning.

It will possess G70’s upgrade engine—a twin-turbo 3.3-liter V-6 365 horsepower that will be limited to 500 units.
The model will be either rear-drive or all-wheel drive.The G70 was unveiled a few months ago in the year 2020, but Genesis has remained tight-lipped about the US-spec model.
This is beginning to change, as the automaker has secretly unveiled a reservation configurator that reveals a slew of information about the upcoming sedan.The new G70 will allow its customers to choose from 14 exterior colors, including Bond Silver, Tasman Blue, non-matte Verbier White, Sedona Brown, Melbourne Grey and many others.
The redesigned G70 comes with a wider 10.25-inch infotainment system and a Genesis-exclusive user interface.
It has a red and black leather interior and 19-inch black wheels.
A new larger touchscreen infotainment device and a few new features are available on the inside.The prices has not been released yet, but as per reports it has been anticipated a slight increase over the current model, which initiates at USD 37,025 and rise up to USD 49,225 for a 3.3T AWD.
