Essential Things That You Must Add In Dog First Aid Kit

We all know about first aid kit and almost every home has a first aid kit. But if I ask if you have a first aid kit for your pet in your house as well then, your answer will probably be yes. If we humans get a small injury, then we get upset and immediately run for treatment. On the other hand, animals are unable to speak, nor can they talk about their injury. In such a situation, we must understand them and help them. Today I will talk about Dog First Aid Kit. I want that if you have a dog or any pet, then these are some essential items that must be in your pet first kit. If you already have a pet first aid kit, then you can add these essential items.

When you combine these essentials with a well-stocked pet first aid kit, you'll be prepared for almost everything your dog may encounter.

1. Tweezers -

Tweezers are elevated portable tools that are used to remove things like prongs, ticks, and fleas.

Sometimes there are some wounds that we can heal only when they are looked at closely. Magnifying Glass can help you with this, with its help you can see any wound closely.

3. Syringes -

Syringes are used to inject hydrogen peroxide into your dog in order to need them to vomit after they've swallowed or eaten something they shouldn't take. In addition, syringes can be used to clean and flush injuries.

4. Flashlight -

Flashlight will help you when you are hiking with your pet in dark. When we go out hiking with pets, sometimes we choose a strange and unknown locations for extra adventure. If you are at a location where there is no electricity and dark outside, then a flashlight will guide your dog and you. We all know that in today's time everyone has a smartphone, and every smartphone has a torch/flashlight with it. But we try to save the mobile's battery for emergency and the mobile's flashlight doesn't have a focus lance with it. So, I recommend you have a flashlight in your pet first aid kit.

5. Antibiotic Spray and medicines -

This is prescribed to prevent and cure minor skin infections caused by minor wounds, bites, or burns. This drug should only be applied to the skin.

6. Hydrogen Peroxide –

Dogs or pets don’t know what is good or bad for them if they like something to eat, they just eat it without thinking anything. In this condition you can use “Hydrogen Peroxide to flush out germs or toxic food. But remember to use only 3% hydrogen peroxide for dogs.

7. Cotton Balls -

Cotton balls will be required for cleaning your dog's wounds to assure proper use of the topical treatment. It's simple to use cotton balls because you won't have to tear apart enormous pieces of cotton in an emergency.

8. Adhesive Tape - If you must stick something, such as gauze, to your pet's skin, use medical tape. This tape is meant to be adhesive while still easily removable, making it the most pleasant alternative for your pet.
