How long does a spine surgery take?

Each surgery is different and can take longer than others, even the same one. Each Surgery is handled individually. For example, mine took 6 hours while the surgery of the patient next to me took 4 hours. I asked the Best Spine Surgeon in Trivandrum when he returned from his rounds after surgery. He said that the average time for that particular operation on the spine took 5 hours. However, he also told me that one operation took 11 hours. The other one took only 3 hours. Dr Ganesh Navaneethan, the Ortho doctor in Trivandrum, has been assessing and treating musculoskeletal and orthopedic diseases such as osteoarthritis, spinal injuries, sports injuries, and many others in his practice. Orthopedics is a term that refers to therapies that affect the musculoskeletal system, which is the system that allows people to move by using their muscles and skeleton.

This is an option for patients with low back pain who have progressive or severe motor weakness or signs and symptoms associated with cauda Equina syndrome. In these cases, an immediate evaluation by an orthopedic surgeon or neurosurgeon experienced in back surgery may be recommended.

People who are suffering from back pain wish to quickly heal it. It was amazing to see the shooting pain in my hip disappear in 3 days. After the negative experiences of the past nine years, I wasn't convinced that the treatment was possible. I expected the pain to return just as it did before. These exercises have been in place for over four months and there has not been any pain.

For chronic low back pain, vertebral fusion may be the best option. The use of surgical instrumentation (pedicle screws and other hardware) can increase fusion rates but it isn't known if this improves clinical outcomes.

Another procedure is a minimally invasive discectomy. However, it hasn't been shown to be as effective as traditional methods of discectomy and may not be suitable for all patients.

A traditional open discectomy is performed with the aid of an eyepiece (loupe), and magnification. This procedure often involves a laminectomy (removal or removal of vertebral lamina) to relieve nerve root pressure.
