How is it designed?
The Rambler Colster is designed to attach securely to the side of your boat, keeping your beverage cold and at arms' reach for easy access. It also functions as a bottle opener, so there's no need to bring along a separate bottle opener or have one tied to the boat.
The Rambler Colster easily attaches to the side of your boat with four simple attachment points (two on each side). Simply bolt your Colster to the side of your boat and you're ready to enjoy cold beverages all day long.
Our Experience:
We purchased and tested the yeti bottle holder on a pontoon boat, which gave us a sense of how it performs in different conditions. The bottle is easily attached to the boat with four mounting points and doesn't move around while underway or when docking. It's also easy to clean since you can detach it from the boat while still in the water.
The Rambler Colster is also very durable as we found out firsthand. After hitting a few piers and getting kicked around the boat, the Rambler is still in excellent condition.
As far as functionality goes, the Rambler Colster definitely keeps your cold beverages cold, hot beverages hot and everything in between. However, the Yeti website says it will keep your drinks colder for 3-5 hours. When testing the Rambler Colster on a pontoon boat, we found that to be an accurate statement on warmer days. On cooler days (70-75 degrees or below) we found that the cold time was reduced to around 2 hours before it was time to replace the ice.
