How To Host The Ultimate Paddling Pool Party In Your Garden

Do you want your paddling pool party to be the very best? You need these tips…

In America there are around 10.4 million residential private pools that are enjoyed in the beautiful hot weather. In the UK, there’s a meagre 210,000 estimated to be installed privately.

It’s no surprise really, the weather doesn’t really lend itself all too well to an outdoor swimming pool, and most people’s houses are too small to have a pool installed. Even if you could, the costs of running a heated pool are just way out of most people's budget.

Instead, us Brits like to enjoy the next best thing - a paddling pool! These inflatable beauties give us a sense of occasion, the kids and pets love them, and they’re perfect for cooling down on a hot day. Even better, having your pals round to enjoy the paddling pool with you is a party nobody wants to miss.

You can’t just blow up and fill though, there’s a nak to holding the perfect padding pool party! Before you invite those guests, checkout these tips:

Consider Investing In More Than One Paddling Pool

If you do have one pool make it one that is big enough to hold either all the kids, or if everyone is getting involved, one that holds about eight people. Alternatively, opt for two pools - maybe an adult one, and a kids one?

Safety First

Any party with water involved can be dangerous. Make sure you have a great time whilst keeping everybody safe by:

●      Always having one adult supervising kids playing in the water

●      Placing anti-slip mats around the pools and ‘splash zone’

●      Having no glassware at all and only plastic crockery, cutlery and glasses

●      Ideally placing the paddling pool on soft grass so if any slips do happen, there's a semi-soft landing

Give It A Theme!

A theme gives a sense of occasion, and makes the party totally insta-worthy! A tropical theme is always a fun one that is easy for everyone to get involved with.

Provide Accessories

Accessories like inflatables, funny glasses, pool games and beach balls are all great ideas because they make the paddling pool party even more fun. They also give everyone something to play with right away.

Have A Chill Zone

A chill zone with seats or beanbags and some shade away from the paddling pool is essential for anybody needing some time away from all the action! This includes kiddies who have gotten a little bit too excited and need to take a moment.

Offer Spare Towels

Although you can ask everybody to bring towels it is worth having some fresh towels available in case anybody needs extra. Some blankets are also a great idea to stop anybody getting chilly.

Feed The Masses

Paddling pool fun is hungry work! Make sure you have plenty of snacks and food on offer for guests. Barbecue food and buffet food is a good idea as people will be going in and out of the paddling pool, wanting to keep snacking on food in between having fun.

Protect The Floor Inside

Wet feet and people will be going in and out of your house to get to the kitchen or the bathroom. Protecting the floor is important to help minimise the mess and to help prevent anybody slipping. You might also want to pop any valuables or large furniture into cheap self storage if you’re having a lot of people over.
