How to Get 4 Million Visits Per Month With One Simple Keyword Hack

You must have read enough on the importance of keywords in improving your website rankings and traffic. We're not going to reiterate the obvious; instead, we're here to show you how it's done. SEO is changing, and simple keyword research will not get you anywhere today.

All the marketing gurus out there have their keyword strategies and methods to find and generate more traffic. The approach that we're going to share today is one of the best keyword research and SEO optimization methods that you'll ever come across.

Let's dive into the process.

The first step is to go to any SEO marketing tools available to you. Type in your domain name. It will reveal all of the pages and the keywords that are already driving traffic to your website. Now, log in to Google Search Console. It will display all of the terms for which you are currently ranking.

Use this to improve your rankings for the long-tailed versions of that keyword, and then you can start generating new traffic. Adjust your content by including those terms in sites where you're currently ranking, and make sure it's good quality.

Once you rank for the main keyword, it's easy to rank for all the long-tail variations. So in no time, your page will rank higher for all the long-tail variations. But how are these long-tail keywords different from regular keywords?

Long-tail keywords are sentences with more words in them. They are more specific than searches with fewer words because of their length. A long-tail keyword is "Buy almond buckwheat cookies" (4 words or more), but a short tail keyword is "buy cookies." Such keywords are variations on a term similar in root or meaning to other high volume but less competitive keywords. On the other hand, short-tail keywords do not contain more than 1-3 words.

Short-tail keywords cater to a vast horizon of topics. One term can mean different things, which is why such keywords are comparatively more competitive. Due to this, it becomes difficult to rank higher for them.

Users are more likely to use short-tail keywords while searching for something on the internet.

They'll be using long-tail keywords only when trying to find something quite specific. For example, a student searching for a problem in his textbook or a buyer willing to make a particular purchase. This is what makes these keywords rank quickly.

So, we will be trying to target the short-tail keywords you're already ranking for with the help of their long-tail variations. If you rank highly for a short-tail keyword, chances are you will rank higher for all of the long-tailed variations of that keyword.

How to find your Short-tail keywords?

  • Go to Ubersuggest or SEMrush, or Ahrefs.
  • Create a free account.
  • Type your website URL and press search.
  • Here, you have a list of all your top-ranking keywords.
  • Make a list of those short-tail keywords.
  • Now, move over to Google Search Console.
  • Again, jot down your highest-ranking short-tail keywords.
