Best Options For Stretch Marks Treatments

There are many options for Stretch Marks Treatment if you weren't able to catch them at the prevention stage. The options include treatments that can be bought at a local store, some include going to a dermatologist, and other options are remedies that are around the home. It might be a matter of trying different treatments to find the one that will be best for you. Some will cost a lot more than others so research options before spending too much money on these treatments.

If you go to the dermatologist seeking treatment they will most likely recommend one out of two things. The first thing is an acne gel that also treats stretch marks and it is called Tretinoin Gel. Apply the gel to the affected area as directed by your doctor. This option may be pricy because more than likely you will be paying out of pocket for this treatment. The reason you will end up paying is because most health insurances will think the procedure is not necessary for health. You can ask your health insurance and see if there is certain criterion for them to cover laser treatment. The other option is laser treatment that rids the skin of the unsightly marks. You will end up paying a lot for laser treatment and may have to go a few times to get rid of the stretch marks.

There are also lotions that you can buy at your local store. Consider that a lot of these are pricy and rather ineffective. They might help a little but they will not completely get rid of stretch marks. If you want to cover up the marks in the meantime with these products you can use a fake tanning lotion.

Home remedies are an option as well. If you have lavender lotion you can put that on the affected area. There is a lot of research for treatments of stretch marks. Keep in mind what research says about treatment so you know what will work and what would not.
