The working principle of the blast cooling tower

 1. What is a blast cooling tower?

In industrial production, cooling towers are widely used in industrial machinery and equipment. Cooling towers can be divided into natural ventilation cooling towers and mechanical ventilation cooling towers according to different ventilation methods. Blast cooling towers are one type of mechanical ventilation cooling towers. , It installs a blower at the air inlet to force the air to flow, accelerate the heat exchange of water and air, so as to achieve the purpose of cooling and discharging waste heat.

Many industrial and mining enterprises contain corrosive components and impurities in the cooling cycle working water medium. Blast cooling towers are developed and designed for this situation, and are mainly used in small cooling towers or cooling towers where water is corrosive to the fan.

Second, the structure of the blast cooling tower

The blast cooling tower is a mechanical ventilation cooling tower, generally composed of tower body, inlet air equalization and return water diversion equipment, ventilation equipment, air distribution device, water eliminator, sump and other parts:

1. Tower body: that is, the peripheral structure of the cooling tower, which is generally made of glass fiber reinforced plastics, and the surface layer of the tower body is made of weather-resistant colored gel coat resin.

2. Inlet air flow equalization and return water diversion equipment: the function is to make the concentrated gas entering the tower evenly distributed, and to divert the return water to reduce the airflow resistance.

3. Ventilation equipment: the fan, the heat and moisture exchange of water and air in the cross flow cooling tower is mainly completed by the ventilation equipment, and the fan of the blast cooling tower is installed at the air inlet.

4. Air distribution device: distribute the air evenly to each part of the tower to form a larger heat dissipation surface and facilitate cooling.

5. Water eliminator: prevent the water droplets floating with the air from being discharged from the cooling tower, reduce the water droplets brought out by the humid air discharged from the cooling tower, and reduce the loss of cooling water and the impact on the environment.

6. Water collection pool: used to collect the cooled medium, generally set at the bottom of the cooling tower, and also has the function of storing and adjusting the water volume.

3. What is the principle of blast cooling tower?

The working principle of the blast cooling tower is mainly:

1. With the help of the fan at the lower part, the strong cold air outside the tower is forced into the tower through the air inlet channel under the tower, and the medium to be cooled is evenly distributed to each non-metallic atomizer by the tubular water distribution system. According to the nozzle, the medium is rotated at a high speed and sprayed and atomized upwards, rising in the same direction as the gas entering the tower, and exchanging heat.

2. After the fog droplets rise to a certain height, they fall naturally with their own total weight. At this time, they meet with the rising strong cold air for heat exchange again.

3. The hot and humid gas is discharged out of the tower after being treated by the water eliminator of the cooling tower, and the cooled medium is concentrated and then enters the sump to complete the cooling work.
