- Day 6: Breakfast- check out transfer to Colombo- sightseeing in Colombo- transfer to the airport
Thanks to some research I figured out that despite it being the rainy season, sightseeing in Sri Lanka is still a charming prospect at various places on the island. With our itinerary, we tried to minimize our travel time and maximize the number of places we would eventually see.
Witnessing the best of sightseeing in Sri Lanka
To attain a perfect mix of relaxation and adventure, we chose to visit places both in the north & southern parts of Sri Lanka.
The north is known for its rich culture and history, so for the first four days, we covered as many sightseeing places as we could. Therefore, leaving the final two days of relaxation in the south, which is famous for its pristine beaches and virgin landscape.
