You can use this route if having a CMI Diploma qualification (at level 5 or higher) and a minimum of 3 years of work experience in a management role.

This pathway builds on the completion of your CMI Diploma qualification and offers a fast-track assessment process considering your prior learning with CMI.

CMI application for this route to achieve Chartered status will cost you £130 + VAT (with membership fees where applicable).

2.  Full Assessment:

You can use this pathway if you have a degree level qualification that is management, leadership or business focused; plus 3 years of work experience in a management role, or

A minimum of 5 years of management experience, which is equivalent to Level 5 or operational/senior management level) if not having a management specification qualification.

How to register?

You have to capture details of your latest attainments/positive results. After that, you will work with an evaluator to complete the assessment review. You can pick between a Written Submission assessment or a Professional Discussion assessment.

It will cost you £540+VAT or £855+VAT respectively (with membership fees where applicable).

3.  Apprenticeship:

You can use this pathway if you are completing End Point Assessment using CMI for one of these apprenticeship standards and have related management experience.

·       Level 5 Operations/Department Manager

·       Level 6 CMDA

·       Level 7 SLMDA

You don’t need registration for this route.

The Chartered Manager assessment criteria have been designed for the CMI assessment at EPA. There is no extra work and no additional cost for the apprentice.

In other words:

If completing a CMI qualification with the apprenticeship, CMI Chartered Manager status will automatically be given when you pass your apprenticeship.

If having CMI membership support as part of your EPA package, Chartered Manager status will be automatically given when you pass your apprenticeship.

If completing EPA only (no qualification, no membership support)

When you pass your apprenticeship, you can fill up a form to claim your related Chartered status.
