Kanchenjungha Base Camp Trek

Kanchenjunga Base Camp Trekking is a long with beautiful mountains & adventurous journey into the Kanchenjunga Conservation Area along the Himalayas of Eastern Nepal. The trek begins in tropical lowlands and takes us to great altitudes where there is nothing but snow and rocks everywhere around us. The region is protected as the Kanchenjunga Conservation Area, which spreads across 2,035 sq. km with a rich diversity of wildlife such as red panda, Himalayan black bear, snow leopard, etc. Mount Kanchenjunga (8,586m), the third highest peak in the world and the second highest peak in Nepal is located within the Kanchenjunga Conservation Area. It was opened in 1988 for foreign travelers. This route provides a panoramic view of mountains such as Lhotse, Makalu, Everest, and Kanchenjunga, which is above eight thousand meters.

Kanchenjunga trekking is one of the best and most well-known trekking routes in the Himalayas region for Nepal travelers. Only a few numbers of travelers have visited this area in a year because of the remote and challenging hiking trail.

Kanchenjunga trekking is started from Suketar Taplejung district access by flight or by drive from Bhadrapur and requires a special permit for this trek. This trek can be quite challenging at times as it mostly involves long and strenuous walks to high altitudes. Recommending this trek to anyone with good physical fitness, we also try our best to make your trek easier by providing you with the best guides and porters.

Best time to visit the Kanchenjungha region

Nepal is a country of hills and mountains. Thus, the weather of the mountains regions is unpredictable and you should be always aware of the season of Nepal prior to embarking on this journey.

The best months for this trekking are April, May, and June in the spring season and September, November, and December in the autumn season. During these months, the weather is pleasant and the views are crystal clear.
