Assured Sober Life

Alcohol rehabilitation centres can seem frightening at first. Being away from family, a job, and your home for a long period of time is a commitment. The benefits of long-term alcohol rehab strongly outweigh the negative fears associated with long-term alcohol rehab. Long-term inpatient rehab, also known as long-term residential rehab, is a treatment that typically takes place over three to 12 months. During this time, patients reside in a treatment facility and are under 24-hour care. In the earliest stage of this type of treatment, they are likely closely monitored while detoxing, which can be a dangerous process.

Then, while taking part in the program, they are given a long-term care plan and may also discuss aftercare plans for when treatment comes to an end. This part of the process is not necessarily checked by medical professionals, as non-medical staff members and the other residents shape the programming. Though three to six months is typical for long-term inpatient rehab, some facilities may offer longer programs as well.

Research and studies have shown, however, that time is an alcoholic’s best friend. Long-term treatment has been proven to increase the success rate of the transition to a sober life and help prevent relapse. Extended care alcohol rehab is available for periods as short as 30 days and as long as 180 days. Ninety days of long-term alcohol rehab is considered the optimal amount of additional recovery time needed to ensure the highest rate of success.

Extended care is offered on a residential or outpatient basis. Their communal structure allows individuals to concentrate on addiction recovery, without worrying about real-life issues. Faith Farm’s rehab program typically consists of daily group therapy, combined with life and vocational skills training.

Our residential programs have developed friendly approaches to recovery and focus on a particular group of people. In some instances, long-term alcohol treatments have been integrated into specialized living formats. For example, sober living and therapeutic communities, where recovering alcoholics can live in a structured environment for even longer periods, have become popular ways to prevent relapse through extended treatment. Long-term alcoholism treatment is often particularly effective when an individual has multiple addictions or a history of relapsing. It is also one of the best options for people with underlying mental health issues or other types of health problems. We help people avoid relapses and teach people healthy habits and skills that can stabilize their lives and contribute to long-term happiness.
