The global mobile SoC market is expected to grow at a compound annual growth rate of 25.64% over the forecast period to reach a market size of US$2,073.322 million in 2026 from US$419.538 million in 2019. A mobile SoC is an embedded circuit component all of the components that help a mobile phone work and control, such as storage, modems, and other basics, all combined into a single chip.

A computer that works on a single chip is referred to as a "system on a chip." When several components are combined into a single chip, space, cost, space, and power consumption are reduced. As a result, the mobile SoC is the phone's brain, handling it all from the version of windows to analyzing volume press buttons. Other systems inside mobile phones that are controlled by the SoC include the RAM, camera, ROM, and others. Several of the application fields of mobiles are playing video games, video conferences, surfing the web, net browsing, and many others. All of these functions are done more by the SoC unit built into the phone. The two biggest companies in the mobile SoC industry are Qualcomm Technologies Inc. and MediaTek Inc.

The use of a system on a chip (SoC) in portable devices like smartwatches and fitness trackers is becoming more common.

Advanced wearable devices, including smartwatches & fitness trackers, are used by people all over the world. Sensors such as accelerometers, gyroscopes, magnetometers, global positioning systems (GPS), pedometers, heart rate sensors, pressure sensors, and others are included in these devices. Systems-on-chip devices are required to control and coordinate these sensors.
