The walk continues ahead into a forested trail with a gradual climb reaching a welcome gate of Ghorepani village. As well as walking up to higher Ghorepani Deurali, the popular overnight stop is Ghorepani Deurali, perched on a high ridge. Amidst beautiful rhododendron forest with views of Annapurna peaks with Dhaulagiri Himalaya range, which is the world’s 7th highest peak.

One can visit Ghorepani and Poon Hill in nearly all seasons of the year, except the monsoon wet rainy times. Which is from mid-June to August months.
The best time is in spring from March to May, when days are longer with enough sunlight hours. In spring the hills of Ghorepani and Poon Hill are lively and bright with wildflowers in full bloom. Especially the rhododendron of various species as well as a national flower of Nepal.
