SKILLED & BUSINESS MIGRATION PROGRAMS OPEN 2022-2023

The South Australian Government has released an updated skilled occupation list, describing the abilities it intends to fill using international talent as well as migrants currently residing and working in South Australia. For 2022–23, General Skilled Migration (GSM) programme is now open for immigrants.

Among the most complete lists in the nation, it allows qualified immigrant workers, our very talented international graduates—to seek state nomination in greater than 500 distinct professions.

With almost 470 jobs this year, up from 380 in 2021–2022, the number of occupations available to immigrants from outside has once again reached pre–COVID epidemic levels.

Applications for skilled migrants will get priority under the 2022–2023 Skilled Migration Program:

  • Having experience in expanding fields like hi-tech/digital, health and biological sciences, green energy, military, space, and trades.
  • Or the people who can contribute their talents to those fields and others with in-demand backgrounds including health, ICT, teaching, engineering, agribusiness, and trades.

The Safe Haven Enterprise Visa (SHEV), which allows humanitarian migrants to reach South Australia, is also expected to gain from more flexible routes to permanent residence.

The state's priority is to nominate both skilled and knowledgeable foreign migrants who can fill urgent shortages as well as migrants who are currently residing and operating in South Australia—to keep those with in-demand talents.

A skilled immigrant who has the necessary qualifications and has been nominated by the South Australian government may then apply for a visa through the Department of Home Affairs of the Australian administration.

Victoria

Victoria is accepting applications for subclass visa 190 and subclass visa 491 from both onshore and offshore applicants for the current academic year 2022-2023.

Prior eligibility requirements were:

  • The candidate does not need to have STEMM skills or job experience in the target sector in order to be eligible for any of the professions on the applicable DHA occupation list.
  • This phase gives you the chance to bring the applicants whose occupations are on the DHA list to Australia.

An applicant must have the following prerequisites:

  • Age restriction of 45 years or less
  • Must work in a position listed on the DHA list of occupations
  • Make sure you continue residing in Victoria.
  • At least 65 points must be achieved.
  • Must have high English test results.

Only onshore (working or residing in Victoria) individuals could formerly submit nominations, according to Victoria state.

Queensland

As a consequence from August 16, 2022, Queensland has launched its migration programme for the years 2022–2023 for both offshore and onshore (Subclass 491 & Subclass 190).

This state once accepted onshore candidates' registration but not those from offshore applicants. A list of vocations just released by Queensland includes opportunities for IT, Engineering, and Trades sectors.

For subclass 190, the applicant must receive 80 or even more points, and for subclass 491, 65 or greater points. Must possess a work profile that appears on the list of Queensland occupations and has at least one mandate. The candidate also has to have a minimum of three years of post-study employment experience.
