How To Build A Personal Brand?

Content creation is one of the best ways to grow a personal brand in no time. Christina Hooper told us emphasising valuable content will help you position yourself as a brand.

She further added how people should focus on the thing they specialise in and build their content marketing efforts around it. View the additional tips and ways to leverage the power of content marketing from Christina in the video below.

Video Script:

Hello. So we’re now at the end of the DMCP Training day in Austin, and I’ve got Christina with me and we’re going to talk about how her presentation when she gave some really great nuggets on content marketing, branding, personal branding and so on. So before we jump into the questions, Christina, tell everyone who you are, and what you do. I’m Christina Hooper. Do I hold it or do you hold it? Okay. I’m Christina Hooper. I help people turn their superpowers into sales by building a personal brand. So how can you make me into a Superman or with superpowers? You already do it. So, like, you do it all by yourself now. It’s coming out and being an expert in the things that you do and making the content, putting it out there, making it very clear that you specialize in a specific thing, and it’s like you’ve done a great job of that already, is like the guru of Google Ads.

That’s the biggest part of it. Most people won’t do that. They try and tell someone they do everything instead of focusing on one part. Yeah. And you focus mostly on content, content creation, distribution, syndicating, and that’s what you’re really good at. So anyone who hasn’t started on content marketing, blogging, whatever you want to call it, and they want to get started, what would be your best tip for them to get going? I feel like the biggest thing is figuring out who your ideal audience is and what the best products and services to promote. Because a lot of times people put the thing that they put the most effort and time into and they love it the most and they want to sell it the most, but that’s not the most marketable product. Like, you have to pick something that is scalable, something that is profitable, and really know what you’re going to be doing, and then you can speak towards that.

So all of your content is getting your target person to that one product or service. And then from there, it’s sales. You can upsell and cross-sell them into anything. So does somebody need to invest a lot of time or resources to get started with content marketing or keep things simple, which I’m sure you do? How much content does one need to create so that they can start to see tangible results? Oh, man. There’s really not too much, right? Because there are so many different platforms. There are live videos, there is collaborative content with other experts, there are recorded videos, there are webinars, there are challenges, there’s a quiz and funnels. I mean, there are just so many things you can do. Blog, articles, email marketing, social. There’s really not too much. But it is going to involve either time or money or a combination because you have to spend a lot of time here right now. I mean like Uzair right here now. I mean there’s money invested into the microphone.

There’s time invested in doing this. There’s money invested in the team on the backend producing it. You’re not going to get away with no time and no money and magic content happened. So, I mean, it is an investment, but it pays off. And you’re building assets and you’re building relationships versus, like, paid ads and stuff like that, where it’s like you have to keep putting money in the ads. And if you don’t have the content on the backend and you don’t have the funnels on the backend, you’re wasting money a lot of times, and these assets will last forever. I hate to talk about it about ads, but I mean, like, a lot of people do, right? They’re like, I’m just going to go pour a ton of money into ads, and I’m not going to do any content, and I’m not going to look at my products and services, and I’m not going to optimize my website, and I’m not going to do any of the things that would make ads more effective.

It’s like, put that content together. I mean, you’re doing it for yourself. You’re putting a ton of content together, and then you’re running ads at it, and it performs like gangbusters. Yeah, we’re putting fuel on the fire. Yes, exactly. It’s like if you just pour fuel on it and there’s no flame, then all you’re doing is making a future fire hazard. So tell me a little bit about your presentation that you enjoyed. I did. I was so nervous, but it went well. I didn’t hyperventilate, I didn’t trip because I’m wearing heels and almost never wear heels. I didn’t trip getting onto the stage. I didn’t hyperventilate, and I didn’t go too long or too short. So, I mean, like, what more can you ask for? I didn’t make a fool of myself. No, you didn’t. You didn’t. Absolutely. You didn’t.

I loved the presentation. It was fabulous. And thank you for sharing all your knowledge and know-how. So how can anyone and everyone find you? Just search my name, Christina Hooper. Like, go to christinahooper.com or search me on Google or any social media platform. I’m the one with blue hair. It’s pretty easy to spot me. And we also have the hashtag bow to the blue. Yeah, you just had that one floating around a few different places. The whole hashtag bought onto the blue. I don’t even know where all it’s at this point. But if you search it, it does things, which is not satisfying fault. But we have to do that. Like Superman. Superman. Yeah, we need to figure something out for me. Brilliant. Thank you so much. Loved it. Thank you. Bye.
