Error addressed in SAP FICO ABAP Interface (Iine Items/Balance in currency transaction)

SAP configuration and implementation are prone to errors. As an SAP consultant, you'll encounter a wide range of real-world issues in various areas. As a result, you need to be aware of any potential points of error or difficulty.

You're not alone in your search for these common SAP FICO errors. To learn more, sign up for sap training in Delhi.

Listed below are the most common configuration errors and their error codes and solutions.

  • Error 1: When running the Depreciation Run

Why NN transaction violates a net-book-value rule

If you attempt to post value to an asset through unique or unexpected depreciation, you will encounter this error. This would result in a negative Net book value for investments.

This problem can be resolved by setting the value allowed to "All Values Allowed" in the depreciation area configuration chart. However, before making any changes to the Configuration, be sure that allowing negative net book value is something you want. Check your transaction if you haven't already done so.

  • Error 2 – While submitting the customer invoice

Why is only output tax permitted for account xxxxxx xx

This error occurs when GL accounts are limited in the tax codes they can use. The Tax Category field can be found in FS00's Control Data tab. The tax code should be listed in the post. A change in the tax category would be necessary if one wishes to eliminate the error.

  • Error 3 – During the APC transfer;

Why is there an ASKB error when attempting to balance the field "Profit Center" on line 01?

The ASKB transaction in SAP posts Asset APC values to G/L regularly. If the necessary account determination is not maintained in Configuration, you will receive a Profit Center balancing error. It is essential to locate and verify in ACSET whether or not the account determination cost objects have been maintained to fix this error. Uphold the ideals and correct problems that need to be addressed.

  • Error 4: Your client receives an SAP FICO error while posting an Asset Invoice.

Transaction number XXX YY Chart of Accounts ZZZZ is not defined in table T030K.

When you try to post an invoice but the tax code has not been maintained in Configuration, errors like charts of accounts not defined in SAP FICO Tables occur.

Only one G/L account must be assigned to each tax code if you are to resolve this problem. Assign G/L to the tax code in OB40 => Provide Chart of Account ZZZZ => Transaction XXX => (YY).

  • Error 5 – During the posting of an intercompany transaction

Withholding tax treatment varies depending on the type of company code.

Because one of the company codes is on standard withholding tax and the other is on extended withholding tax, SAP FICO displays these errors when you try to post intercompany postings.

Please ensure that the option to activate extended withholding tax is selected under IMG > Financial Accounting > Global Financial Accounting Settings > Company Code.

There will be no cross-company code postings, so that's a big deal. For this reason, you must post two entries in each company code. Check later to see if you want to extend withholding tax to both company codes.

  • Error 6 – When attempting to post a voucher entry in FI

Why does XXXXXXXX need a CO object?

When the GL account is relevant for Cost posting, you get this error message (Account XXXXXXXXX requires an assignment to a CO object). A Cost Object (Cost Centre, Internal order, WBS element, etc.) must be included in the posting because SAP Controlling requires a posting to be done automatically.

  • Error 7: During automatic posting

What should you do to fix SAP FICO error messages?

You can't manually assign Cost objects when auto-posting (like gain/loss posting). As a result, a default cost object must be transferred to the account (OKB9).

  • Error 8 – SAP FICO Errors in Withholding Taxes

This withholding tax has already been entered into a record. How can this error be fixed in SAP FICO?

Assigning multiple lines of the same tax type to a business transaction in SAP FICO results in this error. A business transaction in SAP can only have one tax type. Multiple tax types must be created if multiple lines are to be inserted.

  • Error 9 – During the posting of an intercompany transaction

Company codes NNNN/MMMM have no clearing accounts listed.

The company code pair has not been set up for cross-company code posting, so you get this error when you try to post intercompany posting.

This issue can be solved by changing the OBYA configuration. There must be a familiar withholding tax for all company codes (Classic or Extended).
