Buck Knives

Buck Knives: They aren't the leading name in hunting knives, they are the name in hunting knives. For over a century, Buck fixed blade knives and Buck folding knives have been synonymous with the blades we use to tame the wild (or to tame those home improvement projects). A family-owned company since the 1800s, cutting-edge construction, and unmatched durability are in the DNA of every Buck knife, which is backed by an unlimited warranty.

The brand has 100-plus years' experience knifing niche and has used its time to perfect the art of producing stronger blades. Buck Knives have developed a patented heat treatment that makes its cutting tools and knives more functional as well as easier to re-sharpen. Blade edges are ground using Buck's trademarked Edge2x technology, so each Buck knife arrives sharper than anything you've seen before. And Buck knives keep their edges longer, while each knife is guaranteed to last a lifetime with regular wear and tear. If it doesn't, they'll repair or replace it for you.

Today, about 120 years after a young Kansas blacksmith named Hoyt Buck began experimenting with new ways to craft knife blades, the company has grown to offer a full bouquet of knives and tools ranging from traditional pocket knivesfixed blade knives, sheaths, sharpenersmultitools, and Buck apparel.

A family legacy

Buck Knives came into existence in 1902. The very first buck knife was produced by the blacksmith Hoyt Buck that was conceived with an idea to find a unique way to temper the steel and in a way that it holds an edge longer. This was the starting of a legendary knife-making company. Hoyt Buck began handcrafting high-performance knives in the first half of the century and during World War II. Each knife was handcrafted and made using the worn-out file blades as raw material. Hoyt Buck was much appreciated by the qualitative knives he produced during that time. In 1945, he set up a shop named H.H. Buck and Son.

History through Generations

The company was not established overnight, it took years of dedication, expertise, and knowledge to bring forth qualitative products. The legacy has been passed down from Hoyt Buck, founder of Buck Knives, to his son Al Buck to CJ Chuck (Al Buck’s eldest son).
