3 Waterfalls you must see in Bali

If there is one thing that has recently become popular for anyone visiting Bali for free, it is to include at least one trip to a waterfall in their itinerary.

Even though there are many, and they are all spectacular, we realize that you won't be able to see them all. As a result, after our second trip to the Island of the Gods, during which we wrote this route by Bali in seven and ten days, we want to leave you with a list of the top waterfalls in Bali. Let's start! Check out the YogiTimes article on the best waterfalls in Bali

  1. Kanto Lampo

Kanto Lampo, regarded as one of the top waterfalls in Bali, is stunning and the easiest to get to.

You may get practically up to it with a car or motorcycle, which you can leave in the freeway parking lot, as it is only 11 kilometers from Ubud and takes around 45 minutes in a car. You must go down a few stairs to reach the waterfall, which is easily accessible but requires a 10000 rupiah entrance fee per person.

Immediately after the staircase ends, there is a rocky spot where you can leave your bags and enter the water to reach these waterfalls in Bali. While the path is not hazardous, it is slippery, so if you do not feel exceptionally comfortable, it is advisable to wait for one of the locals in the area to aid you, who will be pleased to do so.

We urge you to remember your swimsuit, water shoes, towel, and, most importantly, to be cautious with cameras and cellphones. With the illusion of the photo, it is common to stumble and end up facing the nightmare of continuing your trip without a camera or cellphone.

2. Nungnung

Nungnung is a waterfall in Bali that is regarded as among the best, most popular, and easily accessible. It is situated 35 kilometers from Ubud and takes roughly an hour and a half to get there by car or motorcycle.

The cost of entry is 10,000 rupiahs for each person, 5000 for parking, and 2000 for using the single restroom in the area.

Before going, it is essential to understand that there are a lot of steps (420 to be exact), many of which are higher than usual.

In line with the other top waterfalls in Bali, we advise arriving early in the morning to avoid crowds because tour groups typically start coming at 11 a.m.

As we previously mentioned, the 420 steps to reach the cascade are pretty demanding, so you'll need fluids at some point. Keep in mind that there are no warungs or shops where you can buy water or snacks beyond the parking area, so it's best to put them in your backpack or buy them before you start the descent so you can take in this breathtaking natural display in complete peace.

3. Munduk

One of Ubud's most stunning waterfalls in Bali is also one of the most remote, 62 kilometers away, and takes approximately two hours to reach by car or motorcycle. Due to this, we advise you to visit Brahma Vihara Arama, one of Bali's most important temples, or take advantage of its proximity to the Twin Lakes to avoid traveling long distances to get there.

To reach the base of the cascade, you must park your car in a small space available for that purpose on one of the highway's margins for a cost of 2000 rupiahs. From there, you must walk down a walkway for about 500 meters through lush vegetation.

You must pay an admission charge of 20,000 rupees per person halfway down the trail, but you may also take advantage of the opportunity to stop at one of the shops that will emerge to greet you to purchase some beverages, snacks, or souvenirs.

You only need to don your bathing suit and leave your backpack once you reach the base of the cascade to start enjoying one of the best waterfalls in Bali.
