Mount Fanjingshan

This is considered one of the holy mountains in China and a world heritage site. In Chinese, this refers to the term Buddhist tranquility. This one is quite famous and a must-visit tourist spot among the other five mountains. This place is well known for its excellent view from the golden summit at 2572m. Here you can also catch a glimpse of the mushroom stone that stands 10 meters in height.

Zhenyuan Ancient town

This is a hidden gem located in the corner of Guizhou province. Established in 277 BC, this is an ancient town mainly of the Miao people. Back in the day, this place was recognized as a land and water transportation center. Currently, if you visit here, you can still catch a glimpse of the old buildings of the Ming dynasty. The remnants of the buildings appear as a historic garden known as the oriental Venice. The tranquility and peace you observe here are quite marvelous in themselves.

Zhaoxing dong village

This is one of China's largest Dong minority-based ethnic villages. It is surrounded by verdant mountains with crystal streams constantly running through it. Along with these, several other wooden slit houses are scattered throughout the village. Every Dong village has specified drum towers that represent prosperity and luck. The five drum towers appear as five lotus flowers scattered throughout the village. The dong people usually gather around these drum towers for entertainment and meetings.

Basha village

This village is famous for being the home to the last tribe of gunmen in China. More than 1000 residents reside here, a bit away from the forest. Here the Miao people usually lead a quiet self-sufficient life and retain any dressing customs. Trees here are worshiped as a god. A tree is planted as a symbol during a newborn child's birth. Similarly, when someone dies, a tree will be used to cut down to make the coffin.

Jiang rice terrace

In the entire Guizhou, there are several rice fields, Jiabang being the most famous. The cloud and mist cover in early mornings here is something you can't miss out on. For several generations, the rice farmers of jiangbang have been from minority ethnic groups. This is why you can experience the combined top-class, ethnic culture and customs here. Each season here can be experienced differently due to the changes in the colors of the rice field. Besides exploring these locations, you can also experience Chengdu panda volunteer for the ultimate adventure.
