What Google Announced for Developers at Google I/O 2022?

Google I/O was a huge success as there were many interesting announcements from this year's keynote. For instance, it was revealed that Google is releasing an extension for Firebase, Flutter 3.0, and Jetpack Compose for Wear OS. Google certainly has some exciting news for dedicated development services and time will tell what the next few years have in store!

Google I/O Keynote

The keynote opened with SundarPichai emphasizing Google’s mission of organizing the world's information and making it universally accessible. Some of the new features include machine translation updates, automated summarization in Google Docs, and more focus on inclusivity with its software.

Google unveiled the affordable Pixel 6A that has most of the premium hardware of the high-end Pixels. As well as teasing potential features of the Pixel 7, Google teased other devices such as the Pixel Buds Pro, and The Pixel Watch. With these devices and more, you will experience a wonderful multi-device experience from Google this year.

 

Flutter-3

Tim Sneath introduced how the developers have used Flutter worldwide to create around 500,000 apps with perfect UIs quicker across multiple platforms.

Google announced at a developer keynote that Flutter 3 will now support six platforms, iOS, macOS, Linux, Windows, Android and Web.

 

What’s new in Firebase?

Companies can dream up any imaginable business scenario and build it in Firebase. Google has created a platform that will help you with back-end service creation, crash analytics and reporting. The tool is called Firebase and can be used to create your app’s back-end service like hosting the content or providing necessary reporting. The focus of this year was on making them compatible with other Google products like Flutter and Android Studio.

Firebase App Check

Firebase App Check is a security feature that helps protect you from the risk of hackers who might be trying to fraudulently access your data and charge your account. It’s now available for developers and can help protect your data and keep your users safe.

App Check is available for:

·        Google Cloud

·        API endpoints

·        Firebase

 

What’s New in Android?

 

Health Connect

The team announced their new healthcare platform, Health Connect, to access data on all Android devices. Health Connect is a program where you can easily access all of your health data that is stored on your Android device. This includes programs like blood pressure monitors and thermometers to track conditions in real time.

 

What’s new in augmented reality?

Google has been listening to feedback from their developers who have been using their ARCore technology, and focused on helping them with building apps that are scalable worldwide, provide easy access to 3D models which can be read by machines, and support localization.

What’s new in Web?

Google’s latest update to Chrome has made significant improvements. Also, if you are working on upgrading your web app, web.dev is a good website to help you get around some of the hurdles that can prevent you from building a modern affordable website development company.

Interop 2022

All major browsers announced their collaboration on the new Interop 2022 project to improve the web’s performance by 15 key areas.
