Advantages of Ceramic Nozzles

Ceramic nozzles are made of low-cost alumina, tungsten carbide, or high-performance Silicon nitride. They have a long service life and are highly durable. They exhibit long life due to the ultra-high hardness exhibited by various ceramics in them. That’s why these nozzles are used for abrasive sand, running slurries, garnets, high-pressure water, etc. Ceramic nozzles are used in various industries like the petrochemical industry, sandblast industry, mining industry, and others. They are very common sprinklers in agricultural water spray facilities. The ceramic nozzle has good chemical resistance and abrasion resistance.

Ceramic is known to be as stable and electrically conductive as metals. End products manufactured with advanced ceramics are categorized as high-value-added products. Ceramic nozzles have higher chemical resistance compared to metal. These products have enhanced toughness and high-temperature strength. Ceramic nozzles have high wear resistance.

Why ceramic nozzles?

  • High Wear Resistance: Ceramic nozzles are more wear-resistant compared to plastic nozzles. The strength of this nozzle is higher than the plastic nozzle. They have rare chances of energy collision.
  • Rust-Free: If compared with metal nozzles ceramic nozzles don’t rust easily after getting wet.
  • Acid Resistance: The solvent resistance of ceramic nozzles does not react with mysterious chemicals and is used to spray a variety of chemicals.

Application of Ceramic Nozzle

  • Spray Coating: Ceramic nozzles are used for passivation, phosphating, degreasing, and other operations on the surface of metal parts and spray paint on metal parts.
  • Cleaning Objects: Ceramic nozzles are used to clean the surface of objects such as household appliances, cars, motorcycles, etc.
  • Agricultural Production: These nozzles are used in agricultural production used for irrigation in agriculture. This will make it easier for farmers to irrigate and reduce energy waste.
  • Humidification: They are used in storage rooms, workshops, printing plants, textile workshops, and others for humidification work.

Classification of Ceramic Nozzle

  • Silicon Carbide Ceramic Nozzle: Silicon carbide ceramic nozzles are made of silicon or boron carbide materials.
  • Oxide Ceramic Nozzle: Oxide ceramic nozzles are made of oxidizing materials which include zirconia and alumina. It has high oxidizing properties and easily reacts with oxygen in the air.
  • Nitride Ceramic Nozzle: A nitride ceramic nozzle is made of silicon nitride combined with silicon carbide material. It has good stability and does not undergo oxidation reactions.
