Types of Stainless Steel Bars


Stainless steel bar is a kind of simple sectional profile, which is generally delivered in straight strip form. The varieties of bars can be divided into a round, square, hexagon, and deformed steel bars for construction according to the section shape. The latter is a periodic section, sometimes called ribbed steel bars. The main section shape of the bar is round.


The section shape of the bar is simple, which is much larger than the general section of the wire, so the heat dissipation is slow, the allowable rolling time is long, and the problem of the large temperature difference between head and tail is not prominent, but the upper limit product is easy to have insufficient compression ratio. As with other hot rolling, in order to roll products with high dimensional accuracy, it is necessary to ensure uniform heating, high rolling mill stiffness, and consistent cooling during rolling. There are also changes in pass caused by wear during rolling, which affect the lasting stability of rolling.
