When Bangladesh captain Shakib Al Hasan and Mehidy Hasan Miraj together took three more wickets, it seemed that Team India would lose, but Shreyas Iyer and Ravichandran Ashwin did not let this happen. Both made Team India win by sharing a half-century partnership.
When the play started on the fourth day of the match, Akshar Patel and Jaydev Unadkat were at the crease. Unadkat got LBW off Shakib after scoring 13 runs off 16 balls. After him Rishabh Pant also returned to the pavilion. Pant, who scored a brilliant 93 in the first innings, could score only nine runs in the second innings. He was made LBW by Mehdi Hasan Miraj. Mehdi did not stop there. He achieved fifth success in the innings by clean bowling Akshar Patel. Akshar played an important inning of 34 off 69 balls.
