MTC Motorsport custom builds the intercooler cores. These cores, which have two rows of rolling cooling tubes with inner fins, make for the most efficient intercoolers. As a result, they may eliminate heat soak and lower IATs far more effectively than classic Tube & Fin designs. 


It provides us with maximum performance over long periods in hard driving situations and for vehicles with greater power levels due to upgrades and tuning. The Ferrari F154 is a wonder of engineering (testing was performed on the 488, but results will be similar for the Pista & F8). 


Getting 660 hp and 560 lb-ft of torque out of a 3.9L engine is no easy task and requires roughly 35 pounds of boost. Even with the high-efficiency twin-scroll turbos, a tremendous quantity of heat is generated. The air exiting the turbos can reach temperatures well over 200°F. 


While the factory intercoolers do an excellent job of lowering temperatures before they enter the engine, the ECU still pulls engine timing and severely reduces power output. Ferrari performance car parts solve this problem, allowing the engine to run at peak performance.
