IT employment accounted for 4.35% of all retail business recruiting activity in November 2021, an increase of 0.98% over the previous three-month average share.
Top five job categories for IT hiring in Japan's retail business in November 2021
The top five positions accounted for 100% of all IT hiring activity in Japan's retail sector in November 2021, out of all job titles.
1) In November 2021, the percentage of software and web developers, programmers, and testers was 82.93%, a fall of 75.97% from the month before.
2) Computer Support Specialists increased their share from the previous month by 33.33% to 9.76%.
3) With a proportion of 3.66%, database and network administrators and architects had a 90% decrease from October 2021.Xedrfg
4) Other Computer Occupations, a decrease of 84.62% from the previous month.
Top five retail businesses in Japan for IT hiring in November 2021
The top five businesses in terms of employment, as tracked by GlobalData, are responsible for a combined average fall of 75.6% in the retail sector of Japan's IT recruiting activity from October to November 2021.
Amazon reported 51 IT positions in November 2021, up 112.5% from the previous month. Rakuten Group followed with 26 IT jobs, down 91.56%. In November 2021, Alibaba Group Holding saw a flat increase with 1 job posting, while Jins Holdings experienced a flat growth with 2 IT positions and Coupang with 1.
In November 2021, most job ads are at the junior level.
Compared to October 2021, junior level employment represented a proportion of 58.54%, a decline of 81.54%. With a 35.37% share, mid-level roles saw a fall of 32.56% from the previous month.
Entry Level Job Ads came in third with a 6.1% share, down 84.85% from October 2021.
