Celebrated on the occasion of Magha Purnima, this 2-day grand carnival closely resembles Diwali, the festival of lights. I was in the secluded region of Lahaul valley to experience the festivities. I learned that Halda has its roots in the Lamaistic traditions of the valley and it was a unique opportunity for me to delve into the rich cultural heritage of Himachal Pradesh.
  6. Sazo - It is a must-visit ancient Sazo festival in the Kinnaur valley which brings. This beautiful festival of Himachal Pradesh is steeped in tradition and is based on the strong belief that the deities ascend back to heaven during this time. 
  7. Mandi Shivratri fair - Mandi Shivaratri Mela is held for a period of seven days in Himachal Pradesh. This fair is all about boasting the rich deity culture and enjoying religious fervor to the fullest. 
  8. kasol music festival - If you love pop, this festival is for you. It is a small village situated near pavary valley and is the kind of place that sets your mood right for a whole night of celebrations. Famous for its natural magnificence, Kasol is also famous for its Kasol Music Festival which goes on for two continuous days. To welcome the new year and celebrate new beginnings, this pop culture event is held every year.
  9. Himachal hills festival - Himachal Hills Celebration, a festival that largely emphasizes music, is a proud occasion for the Kasol community. Dancing to the DJs' sounds while seeing young, talented singers perform live is an unforgettable experience that cannot be compared to anywhere else. Please take notes, party animals.
  10. Doongri Festival - Every year, on the auspicious day of Basant Panchami, the Kullu region hosts the renowned fair known as Doongri.
