Yesterday, Tinder CEO Sean Rad said he is working to make the site more friendly for non-binary genders that don t necessarily fit neatly into a male or female box.

For the moment, the app works by pairing either sex with the same or opposite sex with a quick swipe left or right on a profile image.

Until now, the experience has been relatively difficult for transgender people as non-binary genders options weren t well-represented within the app.

Rad wants to change all that:

For a long time we haven t done enough to give them a good experience, Rad said at the Code Conference.

It s harder for them to get what they are looking for.
