Leadership has been defined and refined in educational philosophy for millennia. One of the most enduring models is the great leader leading the organization to success. We are feeling the consequences of these images, as leaders who vary from the quiet yet forceful solo leader may be seen adversely. Transformational leaders, for example, have a harder time creating authenticity. Personal attributes recognized in a leader still originate from the great leader paradigm: Agency and Assertiveness.
When women display these characteristics, they are frequently met with scorn or mistrust. Furthermore, many women scholars engaged in social justice work may be sidelined inside higher education due to the notion that they are too contentious.
However, the tide is turning with the rise of women icons who are changing the face of leadership by introducing new models that value collaboration, empathy, and emotional intelligence. Women leaders have shown that leadership can be intuitive, empathetic, and inclusive without compromising efficacy. These women icons have successfully led their countries through crises, offering support, compassion, and hope to their citizens.
Despite the complexities posed by gender stereotypes and biases, women have not been deterred but have instead forged ahead and made great strides in the educational industry by working harder, proving their mettle, and surmounting extra hurdles in order to succeed. As a result, women have made considerable contributions and can be found leading some of the most esteemed educational institutions, managing flourishing ed-tech start-ups, and propelling advances in pedagogy and curriculum design.

Seth Jai Parkash Mukand Lal Institute of Knowledge and Service is one among twenty two institutions spread over Haryana, Uttar Pradesh and Punjab and owe their existence to the munificent and philanthropic spirit of Seth Mukand Lal, a close adherent of Gandhi Ji.
He came under the Gandhian influence in earlier twenties.
Gandhi ji had fondly nick-named him “Pagla Bhagat”.
Seth Mukand Lal reportedly bore the entire expenditure incurred in the holding of All India Congress Sessions on the banks of river Ravi, Lahore in 1929 where resolution for complete independence of India was adopted.
Illiterate himself, he vowed to dispel the darkness of ignorance by opening educational institutions in the part of the country.
Hence, he established Mukand Lal National High School at Abdullapur (now Yamuna Nagar) as the first institution of the Mukand chain.www.jmit.ac.in
