Educational Qualification Required For The Exam

For the Air Force, Navy, and Naval Academy of National Defence Academy, the NDA qualification is a Class 12 pass with Physics, Chemistry, and Maths. Candidates who are appearing in class 12 can also apply for the exam.

Nationality Criteria Required For The Exam

The candidate applying for the NDA exam must be either one of the following:


  • A citizen of India
  • A subject of Nepal or Bhutan
  • A Tibetan refugee who moved to India, before January 1, 1962, to settle here permanently

(It must be noted that all foreign nationals are required to have a certificate of NDA eligibility criteria issued by the Indian Government. This certificate will not be needed in the case of those candidates who are Gorkhas of Nepal. )

Note:

  • If a candidate qualifies for the NDA exam and gets selected for NDA needs to do an undertaking to not get married until the completion of the training.
  • If they don’t follow this condition, they need to go through the debarment from NDA.
  • They also need to refund any charge spent on him by the government.

NDA Exam Pattern 2023

The NDA exam is conducted in two stages. These stages are:


  • A Written Test
  • An SSB Interview

NDA Exam Pattern for SSB Interview

In the NDA exam pattern, an SSB interview is the second stage after the written exam. The qualified candidates of the written test are then called for SSB Interview. The interview is divided into two stages.

  • Candidates who qualified the Stage 1 are called for the Stage 2 exam. Stage 1 of the SSB Interview comprises Officer Intelligence Rating (OIR) tests and Picture Perception and Description Test (PP&DT).
  • Stage 2 of the SSB interview comprises Group Testing Officer Tasks, Psychology Tests, and the Conference. This stage carries 900 marks.
